Who We Are

Dance Arts Network and Continuing Education (DANCE) is a non-profit foundation created in 1996 to provide new outlets and opportunities for the dance community, including teaching dance, multicultural exposure, and dance scholarships.

  • DANCE provides access to the healing powers of dance through opportunities for creative expression, expanded audiences and collaboration among dance and other non-profit organizations in Colorado.

  • Dance has the capacity to foster healing, to build connection, understanding and social change.

  • DANCE strives to make classical ballet performance and practice available to marginalized or financially disadvantaged communities including but not limited to People of Color, LBGTQ+ Communities, those experiencing homelessness, at risk youth, at risk women, immigrants, refugees, and low income families and students.

  • We believe classical ballet supports physical, mental, and emotional healing to those who participate in classes, or view performances.

We believe everyone should have access to an inclusive, supportive dance environment and dance performances.

  • We partner with community organizations such as libraries, schools, farmer’s markets, and senior centers to bring free performances to audiences who might not otherwise view dance.

We provide need-based scholarships and work-study opportunities to allow students to take classes at FRCBA.

We develop programs which use dance and movement to develop life-long skills such as self-discipline, social-emotional learning and self-expression for a range of ages.
